Hungarian Partridge Diet

Hungarian partridge will eat grasses, weeds, leafy vegetation, grains, nuts, and seeds. The diet of the young is made up almost entirely of bugs such as crickets and grasshoppers, however adults to not eat many insects as a part of their diet. During the spring and summer months, hens will eat mostly green leafy vegetation like small plants, grasses, and weeds while during fall months they will eat lots of weed seeds, grains, and nuts. Agriculture grains are a major source of food where fields of corn, rye, wheat, barley, and oats are grown. These food sources play a particularly important role to their survival during winter months.
