Grouse Habitat

Ruffed grouse can be found in wooded areas in rough terrain, typically in states where there is cold weather. It may also be found in dark, established woods, brush thickets, and still swamplands. Ruffed grouse are almost never found in open terrain as it does not seem to enjoy those types of areas.
