Caribou Diet

Caribou are primarily grazers eating low lying vegetation. Their diet is varies the most during the summer when they eat the leaves of birch and willow trees, grasses, mushrooms, shrubs and numerous other ground growing types of vegetation. Lichens are an important part of their diet, particularly in winter months.
