Black Bear Habitat
The America black bears inhabit woods and mountainous terrain all across North America, ranging from Florida to Alaska, all over Canada, and even down into northern parts of Mexico. With the expansion of humans into black bear habitat – thanks to logging, farming, and city development – the black bear has had to grow and adapt, which it has done exceedingly well. They are opportunistic feeders and will eat just about anything they find that is edible. They are omnivores eating plants and meat, with a primary diet consisting of berries, grasses, plants, nuts but also eating small animals, fish, and carrion.
