Bluefish
Bluefish are identified by their greenish-blue to dark blue color dorsally and silvery white color on the sides, a straight lateral line, and a forked tail. They have a down-turned lower jaw lined with extremely sharp teeth. They are a single row of teeth in each jaw and uniform in size. They can range in size from 11 to 47 inches and can weigh from 4 to 13 pounds. They are a migratory fish and are found worldwide in tropic and temperate seas, except the eastern shores of the Pacific. Their diet consists of squid, shrimp, crabs, and other fish. They will attack anything that moves or slightly resembles food.
